Confirm Email Address?

Does anyone actually type their email address twice when online stores have two email address textboxes (one for “confirmation”)? I always do “Cmd+A” + “Cmd+C” + TAB + “Cmd+V” and it’s done, but it doesn’t improve their chances of getting me to type it more accurately.

Also, they don’t make you type your address twice, and that is more important than email…

I copy and paste the email, too.

What annoys me is that 99% of sites still use a drop down jump menu for your state. Ridiculous. I’m motoring along, putting in my info with lighting keyboard speed… and I have to stop and reach for my mouse. Why?

Because they’ve always done it that way. So stupid. And they don’t even need me to put in my state, the zip code would suffice.

    I hate bad systems.

On dropdowns, couldn’t you hit the first letter of the state then arrow down to the correct one? I have noticed, however, that sometimes the tab key skips over the dropdown. Now THAT is stupid!
