Vacation… and book quotes.

I’ll be on “vacation” for the next two weeks, so posting will be a little less frequent than usual. I will still be posting quotes from what I’ve been reading. Does anyone else find these quotes helpful other than me? I hope so.

Yes, very much so. I prefer blogs that read like ‘commonplace books’ to ones engaged in so much naval gazing.

Generally speaking, I do not find a set of quotes particularly helpful thing, for I am always concerned with context, from which these bits of text are obviously alienated — it’s just about seeing the forest, not trees. But the way you do it gives them a kind of unity that I can really enjoy. I mean, maybe these quotes lack their original context, but you manage to give them another one, possibly different yet interesting in itself. Thanks ;))
