    The sad news is that this frog, first discovered in 1973, has not been seen since 1979 and is presumed extinct.

    I saw this in a one of the discover channels last night. It is very sad that it is now extinct. It is amazing how the frogs did not die in the stomach acid of the frog.

    they have a mechanism that shuts down their digestive system before they swallow the eggs, so once inside the eggs wont be digested.
