I learned how to write a reserach paper in college and then went on to get my literature degree in college. Yet it seems some of my friends who went to private high schools(I went to public) got alot of the same thinking skills I got as a lit major in their high school courses. They didn't get as much as I did because I studied alot of lit, but I know they got the basics about 2-3 years before I did. I agree.
